BASED / Resilience House
Equity Story Deep Dive
Product / Market / Platform

From story to operating architecture.

The investor case two layers lower: product matrix, customers, market logic, business model, moat, northstar, unit economics, infrastructure options, media model, secure AI platform, and AI-leveraged team build.

Core move

Not events. A resilience operating platform.

BASED / Resilience House sells orientation, trusted access, and resilience capability through premium membership, curated formats, intelligence/media, secure technology, and optional infrastructure services.

Product matrix

Six product layers.

01

Membership

Annual recurring access to a trusted resilience leadership community.

02

Curated formats

MSB and premium convening as credibility, acquisition, sponsorship, and content engine.

03

Media / Intelligence

Resilience Letter, briefings, reports, and member-only decision intelligence.

04

Secure AI platform

Role-specific ROI layers, source-cited knowledge, gated data room, relationship graph.

05

Infrastructure

Digital-first and partner-hosted before permanent physical capex.

06

Expert network

Paid expert access, advisory workshops, and resilience implementation support.

Market

A convergence market, not one legacy category.

Moat / Flywheel

Trust compounds into data, content, and retention.

1. Curated formats create trust and relationships.
2. Relationships convert into members, sponsors, experts, and content.
3. Content becomes intelligence products and member value.
4. Platform captures preferences, ROI signals, and relationship data.
5. Better relevance increases retention and attracts stronger members.
Infrastructure question

Digital-first; physical as scenario layer.

Recommended answer to Lippold's biggest open question: do not make permanent physical infrastructure the base-case dependency. Start with a digital "House" plus pop-up / partner-hosted formats and corporate resilience rooms. Permanent space or public-support infrastructure becomes an upside scenario after utilization, economics, and eligibility are proven.

Media affiliation

Owned first, partners second.

Start with owned Resilience Letter and member-only briefings. Add sponsored briefing series only with editorial boundaries. Use media partnerships for distribution and credibility, not dependency. Build a future annual Resilience Index once data methodology is credible.

Secure AI platform

Defense-grade language, not impossible claims.

No platform should claim intrusion is impossible. The investor/client-safe claim is zero-trust, role-based, encrypted, auditable, independently tested, source-cited, and compartmentalized. MGA14 could build this as the secure technical operating layer: data room, AI briefing engine, member graph, evidence layer, and ROI dashboard.

Team build

AI keeps the team small and high-HROI.

Use AI for research ingestion, briefing drafts, CRM workflows, follow-ups, model updates, and content repurposing. Spend HR budget only on roles where trust, judgment, sales access, security ownership, or editorial authority are decisive.
